To add.... If the Lakers had depth at the Center position ala a Javale McGee/Dwight Howard etc... I believe they could make a run, they lack the size and depth there when it will come down to a series of games...

Genius? He was handed those moves on a silver platter, any GM in the league would have made those moves if allowed.
Pelinka and Lakers got lucky that teams gave them good players for shite return.
