I hope Indy doesn't do that for the Lakers.
Buddy to LA still feels like his ideal fit in the league right now and I would hate to see the Lakers pull off selling the worst contract in the NBA for a motion gunner that showed some improved facilitation skills when he got out of the hellhole that was Sac.
Eric Gordon I feel like is inevitably gonna end up in Philly. But I could see Houston doing it, but I hope not.
Morey though does seems hellbent on recreating his Rockets roster around Embiid.

Man, with 1 year left on his deal and being in the predicament because you let Lebron control getting Westbrook and seeing how that worked out, if you're Pelinka you just have to tell Lebron that he's completely shut off from discussing front office moves and no longer in the know. He can leave if he doesn't like it, that's fine.
The reason that Pelinka and Buss are now ready to play hardball with LeBron is that LeBron won't commit to signing an extension. He's eligible for it next month.
Right now, this is a game of chicken. LeBron is saying that he won't sign the extension unless the Lakers will trade Westbrook for something positive, and Pelinka is saying that he's not giving up the 2027 pick unless LeBron signs the extension.

And the Lakers are right to do this.
LeBron has a history of sneaking out like a thief in the night whenever a team has exhausted all its assets to prop his arse up.

Westbrook wouldn't appeal to the Spurs and would presumably take a buyout, presumably for at least the minimum he could get with another franchise (nearly $3 million
FYI, wherever Russ goes, he likely will not stay....

Interesting.... since everywhere he has been he has given them a Championship

How'd that work out last time they let Lebron make a decision?

Check Russ stat line....
Russ is russ...
But again the prime piece in it all did not play.
Really not going to get in all of that because its like talking to a wall in here... but if all 3 are healthy and play 70/82 games you dont have the "takes" you get to have....
enjoy though.

Lebron the player does a lot of unnecessary heavy lifting to pick up the slack for LeGM
Lakers fans still live in denial, but all the Lakers had to do to create a near insurmountable dynasty was to have 1 more season's worth of patience and let AD make his way in either a S&T or in FA.
Hell, had he just stood by and let Pelinka and Co do their jobs, not pressure for Westbrick, Lakers likely have Buddy right now, would have held onto key role players and maintained flexibility to still be a contender.
Now Lebron is at the point of the cycle where LeGM's bad decisions have created too deep of a hole for the team to likely climb out of, and of course Lebron the player is now contemplating his commitment to an organization LeGM has made near untenable.

Didn’t give the Cavs a title in the first run yet had them mortgage their future to put around him then got jilted in a prime time special.
The argument at that time was “They didn’t put the players around him that he needed”, yet as we are seeing LeGM is shite at figuring out guys who fit alongside him.

Your argument is Lebron got you a title in year 1 so then you should let him do whatever he wants every year after, and because he got you that title, every move he makes after is a great move.

did not CHOOSE to be in CLE FYI.... I believe that was something that was mentioned....
Also, went BACK when he did not HAVE to.... and won them a championship + all of the revenue and economy boost he did for that city which is a shite hole town (If you've never been, obv you do not know)...

Negative.
1. I'm not arguing
2. Any NBA player that is top of their current roster has say so in the future of their NBA team. Whether is current or future. (If you think different then you do not understand how the NBA works, especially in 2022).

I guess he doesn't realize that that is not possible. In a world where someone doesn't bail out the Lakers, Russell Westbrook does give you even a remotely positive return.
