Their baseline has improved immensely and if/when lebron plays they can do what they did last night to teams.

I don't know what game you guys were watching last night but I was not impressed with the Lakers at all. They still don't have a true pg, their 3pt shooters were streaky at best, and they were terrible on defense, we just couldn't make them pay

To me, their ceiling is the 9 seed right now. I just don't see who all they pass up.

I mean lebron & Ad had their way and it will always hinge on them. The next level of players went from replacement level to competent so that is where they improved.

They aren't at their best yet. They played 2 game together and 1 with James. They looked a lot better than they did before the deadline. Everything from the spacing, cohesiveness, and balance is there. Their bench isn't a weak point any more. Mo Bamba is an x factor. He's a 38% shooter from deep. I know he went 0-5 last night but he was getting wide open shots and will start to make them.
They are at the very least making the play in and will be tough against.

Keep being unimpressed while they pass up the Pels. The Pels are all kinds of broken. At least the Lakers have health and consistent play. Meanwhile we lost out here. And awful on offense. Barely scoring 100 points is unacceptable in the modern NBA. Un-frickin-acceptable.

We won 4 of our last 5 before this game. The pels are FAR from broken, dude. Zion will open up so much offensively when he comes back.

South you need to calm your tits. We play a soft arse schedule out of the break. It's time to go on a run.

With how bad the west is, any team mixed up from 3 to 13 can honestly land anywhere. Teams either get healthy, are injury prone, or other teams just start “clicking”… after the all star break is usually a really fun time to get into NBA hoops.
The Pels were one of these teams last year…. Still finishing 10 games under .500, but still was playing some great basketball.

At least the Lakers have health and consistent play.
Also, what consistent play do you speak of? They've been consistently bad all year, the 13 seed. Who wants to be consistent when your norm is a bad ball club?

need 15 w or 16 w to get playin.
and 1 or 2 win or go home.
if they get 7th, its the griz. they have not got back to rolling since bane and brooks were out.
8th is denver.
theres no 86 celtics in the west.
the actual celtics are the real deal.

This years Celtics has been the only “healthy” team in the nba, so they have been able to keep the ship afloat…

They outplayed us but damn the refs were fricking terrible. Lebron getting those 3 FT attempts for kicking his leg out and getting a hand grazed on his thigh, and then obviously JRich got straight up assaulted and can’t get a call. Hard to sit through a game with the refs being so consistently one sided

Also this a frequent fricking theme along pelicans games, let us not forget last season in game 6 when CP3 straight clocked Jose in the face and Jose was genuinely bleeding. We still can’t get a blatant hostile act called as a foul. I already stopped caring about the Saints after the no call in the NFC championship, it is really hard to invest your time and emotion into your team when a ref has such incredible control over the outcome of the game

FYI for everyone, Lebron got hurt in the All Star game.
Hurt his shooting hand or finger hitting it on the rim and missed the 2nd half.
Could be nothing but something to keep an eye on.
