I can’t help but think if you can get Tobias, you get him and figure out the rest. He’s a much much better outside shooter. Either trade Ingram ideally, or play him off the bench. But you take Harris if he wants in.

I'm down. I think he's played more PF in recent years.

Ball
Jrue
Ingram
Harris
Zion

Crunch time? Harris adds the spacing that we're missing.

Funny how Dallas/LAC/Brooklyn are also connected to Horford

Harris played about 85-90% of his minutes at the 4 last year per Basketball Reference.

My assumption is that he would be the 4 and Zion would slide over to the 5, with us praying his explosiveness lets him defend bigs.

How much exactly would it cost us to play footsie with a max FA?

Not like we are intending to go big game hunting this offseason so wasting our time isn’t necessarily a huge issue.

getting mentioned and/or getting a meeting has value.
you dress for the job you want, not the one you have

This is new because the Pels are never a name out there for max level FA

#Bulls will offer Ryan Arcidiacono a qualifying offer to make him a restricted free agent. They don't plan to do so with Wayne Selden, which would make him an unrestricted free agent.

selden is basically free
he's not terrible

I’m not huge on keeping Frank but he’s on like a $1m contract. If we find someone better, someone will either trade for him or we can eat that money easily.

I'd like to get Curry if Peyton or Frank is gone.

Curry is better shooter in which we need at point and could sell jerseys at the giftshop

@KeithSmithNBA
I've been saying this over and over, but here it is again:

In 4 days about 200 players are going to be free agents. That's 40% of the NBA. 14 teams have meaningful cap space and many will use that on 1 or 2 players. There are going to be lots and lots of good bargains out there.

in the summer of 2016 teams had a collective $568 million in cap space entering the offseason.

this summer teams will enter the summer with a projected total of $474 million in salary cap space, which is more money than the past two offseasons combined—$176 million in 2018 and $154 million in 2017

gonna be some bad contracts signed sons

pels will most likely be a cap pace team (they will convert the AD and solo TPE's into cap space). this means they can use their cap space (+/- 30MM at the moment) to sign free agents or trade for salary, and the 4.7MM room exception. they will not have the other exceptions (MLE, BAE) to access. they will also lose their existing TPE for niko unless they use it before using cap space.

I’m all for Harris coming here if we want him, but was looking at his stats and his defensive rating is surprisingly bad. He played on 2 teams that are known for defense last season and still had a 110+ defensive rating. That’s on par with guys like Randle and jah

ryan anderson's contract is non-gtd in MIA; there is zero chance they are bring him back.
