Larry was so bad tonight. BI was so bad tonight. JV was so bad tonight. Could tell right away that Zion didn’t have his explosion in this one.

If JV could play every minute of this game we would have won. Larry Nance was an absolute joke tonight- huge reason why we lost. Can’t believe we extended him- hes absolute garbage.

He was bad on the offensive end.

Problem is Nance sucks in every aspect. He probably shouldn’t even be in the rotation but Griff didn’t upgrade that position- thats on him.

He was 7-15 with 7 offensive rebounds and no turnovers. His backup was 0-2 with 4 turnovers. He wasn't great but he was very far from the reason we lost.

Oh, and he also lead the team with a +/- of 19. His backup was the worst at -24. But sure, let's blame JV...

I don’t think it would be possible for Nance to have been more of a negative factor in this game. One screw up after another. When we are running an offensive set, every time we start getting teams a little out of balance, the ball gets passed to Larry and everything is allowed to reset because he can’t do anything with it. And how many bunnies can a guy miss?

His defender doesn't even guard him because Nance has zero offensive game.

7 for 15 for a big man who plays under the basket? Stats don’t always tell the story. Couldn’t hang onto some balls on big possessions

Hey and it happens- injuries make a player less than they used to be. But i blame a coach who keeps playing a player who is killing us on both ends. Grow some balls decrease Nance minutes and move on. Instead Willie has major issues with rotations.

Jonas lead the team in +/- at +19. Herb was next at +10.

BI was 0. Nance was -24

Now imagine you’re a coach that plays Nance for 19 minutes when hes -24. I don’t want to hear we had no one else. This was a perfect matchup for Zeller against Drummond. Heck just play Zion at the 5.

JV was very good. Putting Nance in the game for any meaningful minutes was the issue. Every time he came in, Vucevic went off. He was not match whatsoever. No sure how Willie could not see that. Terrible.

This is the irritant with the Pels. They don't value the ball consistently. Whether its passing, rebounding, dribbling, or shooting, they randomly just implode for parts of the game. Turn into the Washington Generals.

Guys, guys........David Griffin is running the show. Willie and BI are getting extended. Get mentally prepared now because it's coming.

For sure, team will say Pels have improved their record every year, have assets to improve the team, and has two young stars who advanced to :

[a] first round
[b] second-round
[c] conference finals

What an odd take when JV was one of the few highlights of the game. Quit acting like he couldn't hang onto the ball like it was some issue throughout the game. The ball went through his fingers one time at the end of the game. His offense and rebounding was one of the reasons we were in the game, much less being considered a negative.

Yea Larry Nance is one of the bigger pieces of fools gold I’ve ever seen. He occasionally has a great stretch of play or makes an incredible highlight, seemingly has offensive game at and away from the rim . . .

But more often than not he’s been a bad player for the pelicans. He’s an aging tweener that just isn’t good enough on a consistent basis to deserve much playing time.

We really need an athletic back up center.

Edit to add.

If we are being honest, if his name wasn’t Larry Nance, Jr. he be struggling to stay in the league. His dad’s reputation causes people to see a player in him that doesn’t actually exist.
