I admittedly dislike most of what "country music" is today, but they've got a great sound. A little jam band, a little country. "You Get What You Give" was a fantastic album and this new album isn't so bad.

They put on a good live show

They can go frick themselves for "a beautiful drug". Something changed in Zac brown. He used to seem so down to earth. Now he just seems like a pompous douche.

They did a live show last night that ran on Twitter. I caught about half of it.
The encore included teasing intros to several rock songs (Welcome to the Jungle, Back in Black, etc.) Then they did full versions of Baba O'Riley, Enter Sandman, Bohemian Rhapsody, and other rock songs. The band was strong as hell on them.
Fun stuff.

Oh I know all about this album and how they are going back to their roots. I just hope it's genuine. I'm finally gonna get around to listening to it. There's just been so much good shite released lately.

The Zac Brown Band has always been great live. You have to see them perform live to really appreciate them. I compare The Zac Brown Band to Dave Mathews.
That is how I describe this band they are the Dave Mathews Band of Country Music. I can take Zac Browns music any day over all the Bro Country of Luke Bryan and all his worthless songs about Trucks.

I have seen them do it live, and yes, yes it was.

Dude, it was one bad crossover attempt song on a concept album which consisted almost exclusively of different crossover concepts. Time to let bygones be bygones. "All of My Love" sucks, but Zeppelin is still the GOAT band. ZBB is back to their roots. In no way does "Beautiful Drug" make songs like "Colder Weather", "Sweet Annie", and "All Alright" worse. It was one bad song and one mediocre album, which still had two really cool tracks in "Heavy is the Head" and "Junkyard".

Another "country" act that does this is CJ Solar. I'm telling you, a lot of these guys are really rock acts that realized there's no infrastructure to support rock music anymore so they hopped on the country bandwagon. Solar, in a world with a pipeline for rock musicians, would be a grunge-inspired rocker, but here, he's a rising star in Nashville.

I was at the show Saturday night in Alpharetta that they streamed. They always put on a great show and this one didn't disappoint. Encore consisted of covers of Enter Sandman, Bohemian rhapsody, and Paradise City before ending with Chicken Fried.
New Album is solid too. Short but sounds more like the first 3 albums which is a good thing.
