My favorite cover they did that night was the Vaseline's "Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam"... I think Kurt used that session to turn people on to, or share, some of his favorite songs, that most people would otherwise not know exist.. It was a wildly popular, singular moment in time...
In my opinion, that session in no way captured the essence of who the band really was through their first three records, though it may have been an indication of where they were heading... still a shame we'll never know!

I never found any of the covers to be that good. I'm way more of a fan of their original material.
