Vocals - Mike Patton (Faith No More)
Guitar - Hillel Slovak (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Bass - Stanley Clarke
Drums - Chad Sexton (311)
Keys - Herbie Hancock
I guess my goal here is to combine two jazz phenoms in Stanley and Herbie, with the funky rock sound of Hillel (original Chili's guitar player) and Chad's underrated drumming that forms a great bridge between those sounds....he can rock while being funk/jazz the entire time. Billy Chamberlain from Smashing Pumpkins was really good at that too I thought on the skins. Mike Patton of course because he has such a diverse vocal range and repetoire.
I just feel like adding some dirty rock and funk with a little metal influence from some of these guys could help Herbie and Stanley really get down while they just do the amazing things they do.
I suppose Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains is about the closest comparison to this supergroup I can think of that actually exists. or Oysterhead. Stu Copeland is a damn filth monster on the drums. He'd probably make even more sense than Chad here.

I would put a serious Roy Clark as the guitarist if not then Glen Campbell.

That's going to be some overdone high pitched singing, Peej.
Don't get me wrong - all three of those guys are fantastic singers, some of the best, but all tended to be strongest in the upper/mid range. As it is, Meisner will pull them up to him with his high harmonies. I'd just stick with one of those.

Paul or Keith on bass? Both would be great.

Agreed, but I'd go with Paul on bass.
I just noticed there's 4 guys there that could play bass. Lol
