His talent is timeless, but would this current cultural climate allow him to go mainstream?

No

What's sad is i can barely listen to him now. His old stuff just doesn't seem as good as I once thought.

There were a few gems on his first album.

Some absolute classics on his second album.

Underrated bangers on his third albums.

Really hit or miss after that.

I liked the the Bad Meets Evil colab.

I doubt it. Eminem was a zeitgeist.

He shouldn't have blown up in any time period. Terrible.

You sworn off the poliboard, bruh? Watching your blood pressure? You are missed.

I don't think so. He has 1.5 good albums and he's called a "rap god."

He is one of the most overrated musicians of all time.

Thanks.

I have one facebook group I'm a part of that I'll go to if I feel like discussing politics, which isn't very often.

No. My generation is full of idiots who think Lil Yachty and Post Malone have talent.

at his best no one can touch him lyrically in rap. Let's not forget that he actually writes his own shite, and comes from a freestyle background where he'd punk everyone. When I think of overrated I think of someone like Drake. He's the biggest name in rap yet is a one trick pony, and doesn't write his own music... not to mention the corniest mother fricker I have ever seen

Drake, that fukboi, is the most popular artist in rap... and he's the corniest little bitch I have ever seen. All people listen to today is corny bull shite.

Just because he quickly yet awkwardly fires off some bigger words that rhyme doesn't mean he's "lyrical."

Not unless he had the money to pay for youtube hits and twitter followers via ads and spam bots.

Let's not get carried away. Im not gonna knight for drake but hes pretty damn smooth with the r&b rap hybrid shite. corny is matter of perspective I can't comment on that. but the ovo artists hes assembled and the beats he picks up to jump on are always on point. Not a huge fan personally but its no secret that its cool to shite on drake these dayd

I've thought he was corny since the beginning. Has his "ohhh I'm so sad I'm cryin... oh I'm cryin" stuff then he's acting like he's hard when I'm positive my 14 year old sister could whoop his bitch arse. Dude is such a jabroni. His album cover is the most try-hard shite I've ever seen. Such a pussy.
