The re-do in the 90’s was a shite show. Mud fights, riots, shite burning, couple of alleged rapes?

What about today would be any better? Probably would see a real riot. It would become too political and collapse upon itself.

Create NEW shite. New festivals. Don’t try to replicate old ones.

There were two in the 90's. From what I gather, '94 was a good experience. '99 was the shite show and should have never happened.

So glad it didn't happen...would have tarnished the image of the 1st one. Today would be political correctness, shitty so-called bands and probably anti-Trump bullshite. If anyone wants to do research, Pete Townsend of The Who punched out Activist Abbie Hoffman when he got on stage to discuss issues of the day...

Why?

Theres already been 2 more and theres nothing that can be done to tarnish the original.

Amen to this. The mainstream has become devoid of any original ideas or material for the most part.

You don't understand the spirit of the first one if you think "anti-Trump bull shite" would be counter to the Nixon era pro-war, anti-peace politics of the original Woodstock. Holy crap, what a delusional take.

Ooh! Pete Townshend punched Abbie Hoffman! So, are you saying you support British celebrities commenting on American politics? Yes? Abbie Hoffman wasn't an organizer. It wasn't a matter of politics that got him punched. It was a matter of 'Get the f*** off the stage, this is my time.'

Boo hoo hoo, Jay-Z and a bunch of other posers don't get to exploit a one-of-kind counter-cultural phenomenon for personal gain while ignoring the spirit of the original event. Good.

1994 seemed fun.

1999 seemed like a shite show.

Korn’s opening song Blind was nuts. Love watching the video of the crowd moshing in unison.

Metallica put on a good show too in ‘99.

Reading that just made me realize:

1. It has been as long from then til today (25 fricking years) as it was from the OG Woodstock until the 94 run.

2. Cool kids today are wearing the same t-shirts and listening to the same songs we were 25 years ago, nothing has come along during that time to replace it.

3. I am getting old.
