Last good Panic show I saw was Halloween 2008 at Lakefront Arena. They opened up with Born on the Bayou.

Post-2000 WSP has been hard for me to get into. I know I sound cliche but those earlier years were some good times.

They were better then I will agree. I unfortunately never had the privilege of witnessing that era. However the Panic of today is pretty damn good imo

I wouldnt' mind checking them out again live in hopes they would break out Hatfield, C Brown, or Coconuts. I also always liked their cover of No Sugar Tonight.

Saw Coconuts on the 4th of July 2 or 3 years ago at the Spud Drive-In theater in Idaho.

Back in the day, apparently that was the song they played the least and it was special if you got to hear it. Not sure if it was a panic myth or not. I do remember them playing it and people going nuts though.

you're right. They stopped playing it early on when they were still playing clubs and you could hear song requests from the crowd. Shitheads would be yelling "COCONUTS" the entire show (ala Freebird) and they stopped playing it so people would shut the hell up about it.
I'm with you, CDawg, I've had trouble getting back into it post-Mikey. George damn near ruined it for me, but Herring is a big improvement.
ETA: ...or maybe it's just that I'm an old frick now and can't go to shows without looking like a creep.

They played it in Jackson, april 2000. That was my last show I've been too. That was a pretty good set too.
