I think Cliff Eidelman is one of the greats in writing and producing movie scores. I think he has written the music to as many as 100 movies such as Star Trek VI, Christopher Columbus, He's just not that into you, Delirious, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, American Rhapsody, Free Wiley, etc.

Cliff Eidelman

Who is your pick for the most unheralded movie score producer & composer?

I would kill to have the job of producing soundtracks for movies. Not creating original music but curating what music fits in a movie.

I'll nominate Jerry Fielding - gone way too soon, but I'd put his work, picture-for-picture, up against anyone - Williams, Elfman, anyone.

epic that 7:35 mark is a chilling wonder made most effective by the buildup of the preceding structure. It's a gorgeous, haunting song.

Really everything he has done has been spectacular. Even his Pop Will Eat Itself days

Ry Cooder.

I recently picked up a box set of the soundtracks he composed and produced for seven films. His work in 'The Long Riders' is worth the price of the set alone.

Great stuff.
