Who did it better? 80s version

If you take out the few iconic bands from each decade and just looked at pop music as a whole, I'm not sure there's a decade that comes close to 80s in terms of the depth and quality of pop music. When you add all facets of music together the 60s is tops but as far as well made pop music it's hard to top the 80s.

If I could link to YouTube on my cell phone it would take a page long post to link all the great pop songs from the decade.

Meh, they had quite a few good tunes. I agree however, Lips Like Sugar is one of their top five (Bring on the Dancing Horses, may struggle to be top ten).

Bring on the Dancing Horses was a very popular video.
