Good list. I'd add Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Trace Adkins.
+1
FGL is the voice of a generation. If you don't get their music then you've probably never rode a truck in the mud or saw a girl in jeans. Real shite.

"Looking For Lewis & Clark"
"Run Dusty Run"

Jason & The Scorchers- White Lies Maybe the greatest cowpunk band of all time.

Alejandro Escovedo was in Rank & File in the early '80s. He then moved on to this band:
True Believers - "The Rain Won't Help You When It's Over"
He then went solo and has released some great albums. This track has perhaps the greatest guitar riff of the last 15 years:

Wow....never heard anybody say that about BF. I liked them but they could be wimpy.

I was going to post some True Believers but couldn't find a good video. Saw them in Austin circa 1985 and at the Chimes a few years later...88 maybe. Picket Line Coyotes opened for them. Interviewed Alejandro on KLSU.Really nice guy.

"Ultimate" might be more appropriate than "greatest" for The BFs. They seemed to cover all aspects of the genre. And I prefer them to J&TS, who I like but consider somewhat overrated.
The Blasters just didn't put out (enough material). And while I love the Long Ryders, I think I'd give the BFs the title over them.
After all, this IS a competition. All true believers love a winner, and will not tolerate a loser.
