He is in my personal top 5 of all time. I am just now starting to really dig the songs off of the Whole Love.

And I agree that they are a good bit better musically than they were before Sky Blue Sky.

I can see why people say this, but I don't necessarily agree.
There was this really great raw energy during the Bennett years that I am really drawn to.

While I think Nels is incredibly talented, his playing tends to get on my nerves at times.

Kotche, on the other hand, is the perfect drummer for Wilco. Love his style.

I can see what you are saying, and also agree with you to a certain extent. They are better now in a live setting. Better then in a studio setting.

I actually prefer earlier Wilco although I'd say I'm as much a fan of Uncle Tupelo as I am of Wilco. Anyone care to rate their top 5 Wilco records? I'd go:

1. Yankee Hotel
2. Being There
3. AM
4. Ghost is Born
5. Sky Blue

Its impossible for me to rank the albums. Right now i listen to the whole love the most, but thats just because its the newest one. Its hurting my head trying to make a list.
