Some artist who do a small limited tour can make it happen….. but those multi city tours, an old age or just a disaster

I’ve never been able to make tours work financially. I had exactly one tour actually turn a profit for everyone involved.

There should be an age limit- maybe 70. At some point just sit back and enjoy all of the money you’ve made. George Strait is in good health but his fiddle player kicked and now he has some version of Miss Piggy and his concerts have become a sing-a-long. What fun is that? Stones minus Charlie are not the same. Z Top with Billy is not ZZ Top. Lionel in ICU; bloated Rod looking like Liberace. Hang it up.

RUSH is in the middle of a highly successful tour, with the band is playing at a high level.

If people are willing to pay, why not? It does suck though that some artists end up tainting their legacy by doing it.

Meanwhile, this 78-year-old dude and his 70-year-old wife are still killin' it !
AC is definitely worth the price of admission

Geddy sounds pretty bad and you can’t replace Neil.

terrible take

Yep this will be about The Cure

They just recently wrapped up a series of European summer festivals and before that "Shows of a Lost World" tour ran from October 2022 through November 2023 to Critical Acclaim.
Robert’s Voice sounds as good as ever while playing 3+ hours sets.

Incredible

I would rather listen to Songs Of A Lost World Live than recorded that’s how good they sound
I say there is no age limit if you can still perform at a high level. Why stop if you still love doing it.

Yeah. Have you seen David Lee Roth "performing" lately. Dear mother of God.

AC/DC just played Mercedes Benz in Atlanta. Big crowd and apparently a good show. But both Angus and Brian are 70+ and the only two members of either classic lineup left.
