When does WWOZ play good music?

Sundays suck on OZ. All during the week from 11-4 they play modern New Orleans music and blues. I love the traditional jazz show on weekday mornings as well. Every evening after Jazz from the park you get some good stuff like Kitchen Sink and Records from the Crypt.

I'm not a fan of the zydeco hour(s) on Oh Zee either but I can appreciate the diversity the station offers. It is the best station in the city (which isn't hard) and among the top in the country in terms of the music it offers.

Later in the day on Saturdays is the worst, when they play all that Latin crap.
It's pretty badass during the week though.

On Monday nights from 10:00 p.m. until midnight my uncle is the host of a show called "The Kitchen Sink" where he plays a wide variety of music but mostly classic New Orleans tunes from artists such as Dr. John, the Neviilles, Snooks Eaglin,Deacon John, Proffesor Longhair, James Booker, Leigh Harris etc.Pretty cool stuff.Check it out.He also calls the show "The Governor's Mansion" because his nickname is the Governor(he used to always talk politics, but never on his radio show).
