How can you listen to ska and not feel the urge to move your body?

Have you dug into The Grateful Dead beyond Truckin and Casey Jones?
Admittedly, they aren't very accessible on the first few listens and there are many layers of the onion you have to peel back. But that’s part of the fun.

80's/90's R&B -- Luther Vandross, RKelly, etc....just awful.

Nu Metal immediately puts me in a bad mood.

There are plenty of exceptions, but by and large I don't like music with female vocalists.

I didn’t know this was even a genre. Honestly, I like it overall although some tunes are overly lyrical and sound kinda dumb, like trying too hard to be brilliant and poetic.

Honestly, I can appreciate any music that is made for the sake of trying to make good music. That being said there is a lot of so-called music in many different genres that is out there today simply for many reasons other than just making good music. A lot of of it is just plain noise. I will say a lot of the music that came out out of the 70s was very good music. At that time, it could not be over produced or over marketed. To be popular, it had to be good whether you liked that style or not.

I don’t get all the electronic sub genres so I just call it all electronic.

They had some of that live streaming Coachella. I flipped through a couple of shows that was just dj music and I thought it sucked.

There's plenty of shite in this kitchen sink of a genre for sure, but what about the classics?

Our previous thread is locked. Might be time to start a new one.

Rap
Jam band--I don't like hippies, so...
Storyteller folk--probably dislike more than rap or jam band music. Most of the luminaries are just horrible human beings (Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Pete Yarrow, Joan Baez, etc.) as well.
