DMB (was a huge fan back in '02 and brought some albums along on our trip that year... I'd probably bring some to the beach now even though I don't listen to them as much anymore).
Most of these artists are just ones that I really got into on beach trips and naturally will associate with the beach until the end of time (or I die, whatever happens first).
