Just seeing what the boards opinions are

Examples would be

Teen Spirit “grunge”
Billie Jean “pop”
Hotel California “rock”

Etc

Yes it has to be either 1 or 2 most recognizable but I just was giving examples

As far as Freebird I’m not sure how to classify it is it Southern Rock rock or what?

I do not think any wrong answers can be given unless it’s just absurd like someone listing Tool or Phish in pop or rock.

You have songs like Imagine as well where what genre are they fitting in?

It's still the Bee Gees, but I've gotta believe "Staying Alive" takes the disco crown, not "Night Fever."

Idk, I'm imagining a lot of today's zoomer tiktok generation might not be super familiar with it. Its not in commercials, I can't think of any recent tv or movies it's on, and even the stereotypical boomer 'classic rock' station in my city doesn't really play it. In fact I can't even begin to guess the last time I've heard it. Compared to the 90s and 00s when it was on classic rock radio nonstop.

My point is, as much of a classic song it is I'm guessing a lot of people 18 and under probably dont see it that way. If you're talking age 9 to 99 "most recognizable" I'd think it'd have to be something that is still common across all media. Not just radio and tv but at sporting events, video games, etc. Now what that would be, idk. Maybe something like welcome to the jungle?
