I have never watched it.
I like old movies, but I don't think that particular movie would be one I'd watch.
Heather, WHAT THE frick!!! I've been your biggest supporter on this site but you've got me questioning the nature of our relationship.
I need some time to think about this.

Wished I had seen this earlier and if you still need recommendations or see a list, here's an archived site I put together in 1997 with a list of songs by each year of the '80s starting with 1980: 1980
There are navigable links at the top of the page for each subsequent year. Here are the rest of the years if those links don't work: 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989
This is not complete by all means but it is comprised of mostly the Hot 100 at the time.

?Da fuq?
It's only one of the best (if not THE best) vampire movies ever made.....and a hell of a sountrack. Pretty sure the "I Still Believe" plug was a joke, but "Lost in the Shadows" is solid, and "Cry Little Sister" is just straight up badass. Also the INXS tune "Good Times" is awesome too.
As far as other 80's tunes not already mentioned (all of which show up in 80's movies):
Wang Chung-Dance Hall Days
Wang Chung-Fire in the Twilight
Bananarama-Cruel Summer
The Comsat Angels-Falling
Chaz Jankel-Number One
Oingo Boingo-Dead Man's Party
Talking Heads-Swamp
You could really go with pretty much anything from Talking Heads or Oingo Boingo.

A Little Respect - Erasure
And the most 80s of all songs has to be Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight." No question, it defined the decade.

Love Tommy Tutone! Great vid! The things that sucked about the 80's were shitty berets and tucked in bowling shirts. Thanks Bruce!

For me, one song that epitomizes the early 80's was Love is Alright by Rick Springfield. Seems whenever I went in my favorite club and they would drop that one one, the floor would come alive.
