I like a lot of old music and movies, but that song blows (and the movie doesn't look any better).

What was that Kenny Loggins song from Top Gun, 'Danger Zone'?
Or maybe 'Footloose'.
Or the theme from Ghostbusters.
I figure those songs were both very popular and exposed to a wider swath of society than if they'd just been heard on the radio.

I have never watched it.
I like old movies, but I don't think that particular movie would be one I'd watch.

I always thought The Call did that song? Is that the singer? I know...Google it...

Safety Dance
This (at least a top 5 nominee). SiriusXM's Saturday night "Safety Dance" is a dj mashing up and mixing all sorts of 80's tunes. The fact that they named it this should give it credit the way Lithium, channel 34, takes their name from the Nirvana hit.
I'll give you my hasty dozen-- new wave and the like only (no Poison, Bon Jovi, Quiet Riot, or Def Lepard, nor any heavy metal; as it was described in the 80's):
1. You Spend Me Right Round - Dead or Alive
2. Need You Tonight - INXS
3. Safety Dance - Men Without Hats
4. Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran
5. Under the Milky Way - The Church
6. Drive - The Cars
7. Pride - U2
8. Doves Cry - Prince
9. We Got the Beat - The Go Gos
10. I just Died in Your Arms - Cutting Crew
11. Sunglasses at Night - Cory Hart
12. She Drives Me Crazy - Fine Young Cannibals
