Personally i've always enjoyed them, especially their second album. I think I'm going to get baked and listen to last time around tonight, i've never listened to it in its entirety.

Honestly, the only Buffalo Springfield song I know is For What It's Worth. I never realized that they had much of a catalog. Any songs in particular?

While I generally like them, I think they're somewhat overrated, and not at the same level as contemporaries like The Byrds, the various Gram Parsons lineups, Dillard and Clark, or Moby Grape.

My favorite BS track is "Broken Arrow"

I can't consider them overrated because i never see anyone talk or write about them. Being only 21 obviously distorts my views on that.

Are they played at parties?

Read discussions of '60s rock and you'll find they're very highly regarded. A bit too highly for me...

Check out the acts I listed (most linked in my country rock thread) and compare for yourself.

If you're in BR the public library has a good book on country rock called Desperadoes.

There's also a BBC-TV documentary on c-r on YT -- see above-linked thread.

Always thought they were great talents who just didn't mesh well together. Their individual work after they split up was much better.

Bluebird (This was my favorite of the group)

They have some good tunes, but are kind of a super group, not much synergy but great talent.
