Whew, glad I got in here ahead of time, lol....
I'm seeing The Darkness in two weeks, so I've been brushing up on them lately. Their silly "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" probably alienated them from sniffing any future mainstream success for the rest of time, which is too bad b/c their deeper cuts are actually pretty fricking solid.

Yup, it actually IS kinda funny, and I've listened to enough of The Darkness' music to know I'm laughing for the right reasons...unlike GVF, who I find myself laughing at for entirely the wrong reasons. But whatever floats anyone's boat...

As a guy with some age on him, I struggle to listen to the new stuff on Octane. I respect the fact they're not playing pop BS, I'm just glad I was a child of the 80's and got to see all the big boys. Van Halen, Motorhead, DIO, KISS, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Priest. Seems like someone to that level was coming thru the New Orleans, BR, Biloxi area once a month back then.
