Love this song
Seeing it on American bandstand and realizing there's kind of a dance thing going on in it almost ruined it for me.

I forgot, there are several songs by the Producers that are worthy of mentioning. My personal favorite would be "She Sheila" but there's also "What's He Got" and "I Love Lucy". They were more on the power poppy side of new wave, but the first two albums were quite solid.

I dont' think I have a great understanding of what this genre encapsulates, but I'll take a stab nonetheless:

A-ha - take on me
The Cure - Just Like Heaven
Buggles - Video killed the radio star
INXS - need you tonight
Blondie - Heart of Glass
Culture Club - Do you really want to hurt me
Tears for Fears - everybody wants to rule the world
Jefferson Starship - We built this city
Heart - these dreams
Pat Benetar - we belong
Eurythmics - sweet dreams
Thompson Twins - hold me now
Glass Tiger - don't forget me when I'm gone

New Wave was originally the syth-heavy bands, mostly from England, that rose to fame in the early/mid-80's Over the years, it's come to encapsulate the entire 80's alternative genre.

No way I could do a top 10. I'd leave way too many off.
