Flag on the play. Duane was a member of Derek and the Dominos.
Can't remember which Allman Bros book it is, but one of them said he was never actually a member of Clapton's band. Eric asked him to be a member of the band, but he said no because he didn't want to leave ABB. He never heard from Clapton again, and it kind of hurt his feelings IIRC. Apparently there was also some video footage of Duane that Eric Clapton still owns the legal rights to and refuses to release to the family.
It's interesting because the wiki page for Derek and the Dominoes lists Duane as a member but the wiki page for Duane Allman does not.
Also, in keeping with the OP, Duane played on Wilson Pickett's "Hey Jude."

Chicago - Wishing You Were Here
Wasn't advertised when the song came out but the Beach Boys made an appearance on the Dick Clark's New Years Eve show later that year

Swamp Dogg - "Please Let Me Go Round Again"
Featuring John Prine -- apparently this was the last song he wrote and recorded.
Mr. Dogg of course had the great hit version of Prine's song "Sam Stone".

Bill Wyman/The Rolling Stones - "In Another Land"
Backing vocals: Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane. You can definitely hear Stevie in the last two lines of the last chorus.
