The only time the Beatles performed in New Orleans was in 1964. Their last concert performance was in 1966.

George kills, and I really enjoy his work.. His biggest fault was that he wasn't as mature of a songwriter, and at the time, he wasn't the attractive one. Paul and John wrote great music that was structurally different from one another in such a way that it worked, which is evident as hell in A Day In The Life.
The upside to this is that George was a hell of a guitarist and got to work with, in my opinion, two of the best songwriters of all time. His progress shows in his later work. The solo work he did was possibly the best out of all of the Beatles after the break up.
Let's not forget that he also wrote some great tunes with the Beatles, such as For You Blue and, a personal cliché favorite, Here Comes The Sun.
