he has some really good songs, and now everyone is really shitty.

Obviously this is personal opinion, but here's mine.
Tupac was probably the most influential rapper thus far, but I do not think he was the best.
I never really liked a lot of his stuff.
I actually preferred biggie to him.
Anyways, he's was still very very good.

Read his lyrics. Then read modern day "best rappers alive."
Oh and even if he is considerd to be the best ever, which Im fine with, I personally think Biggie had more talent as far as natural "rapping" goes.

Pac is my personal favorite, but as far as the best lyricist goes, Tupac, Nas, Biggie, and Andre 3000 are all interchangeable, IMO.

No question about it, IMO. Hell, they even made a hologram of him. I'd pay $40 to see hologram tupac at HOB.
So many songs about so many different issues. I don't think All Eyez on Me left my car cd player my entire senior year of high school. That 1 album is better than most rappers greatest hits.

I think he was definitely among the best and the most influential, but his flow wasn't at the level his lyrics were at.

Personally i like Biggie more
Party and bullshite/Big Poppa are still heavily in my rotation

Is it too "old school" posturing to submit Rakim? I guess that is the era when I last had interest in rap...

Christopher Wallace.

Andre 3000, B.I.G, tupac are at the top IMO. I'm more of a 3000/outkast fan so I'd take 3000 over the other two

Nas, but I "get" the Rakim, Andre 3000, and BIG love
People just have to look a little harder...guys who were influenced by Enter The Arena, Paid In Full, Illmatic, etc. wont sell a ton of albums or gain massive mainstream appeal like 15+ years ago.
theres also nothing wrong with listening to shite that was put out in the 80s 90s
...if it's new to you and/or you still enjoy it, then who cares.

This.
For example, Jay Electronica is a current rapper and the argument can certainly be made that he's one of the best technical rappers of all time. But, obviously not many people know who he is and so he doesn't have much impact on the industry as a whole. Kendrick Lamar is a guy that can potentially be on that level too, but also won't have the influence that Pac did. Between the commercialization and variety of styles that the genre provides now, you're not really going to have another Pac or Biggie in those regards, imo.

i agree with christopher wallace being the best, but i think nas should be considered a very close second

Not best ever. One of the best, yes. I know this really isn't a category, but he probably had the biggest/best swagger of any rapper.

I think Pac is the greatest ever. 1st artist to do a show after his death. I really would love to see what Pac would be rapping about today. I'm sure being older and more mature he would have gotten away from the gangsta rap crap and used his skills to be more positive and up lifting. I truly believe he could have a positive impact in today's world and help reverse the it's cool to be a gangsta thug mental he created in the 90's that's plaguing the young black males today.
