Hip hop pushes us over the top.
But anyway, overall, I would have to go with the UK, even though a lot of what they first offered was regenerated Southern Delta Blues and heavy influence from early American R&R & R&B. Would we have had a Beatles or Stones without Chuck Berry or an Eric Clapton (Yardbirds/Bluesbreakers/Cream)without Robert Johnson or Muddy Waters??

that's just dumb, sorry. I don't even like a whole lot of hip hop and rap, but to say they aren't musically talented is just ignorant and misinformed.
