I will say, it's not his best album... or his worst.

And I sort of like the direction he's trying, but it just doesn't feel like a consistent whole with a direction.

Rick Rubin sucks. He needed a more country adjacent producer on this one, even if he was going to experiment.

Eatin Big Time is kind of a great opening, Cuttin Teeth, Oneida, Grindstone are all solid cuts. Down Under is terrible. The rest might take some time. He's almost too sarcastic on this one. It's so much that none of it rings true or insightful.

I LIKE a lot of it, but it's just disjointed.

I agree with all of this. Like I am all for having fun, let loose songs but it seems like almost of them are this way. I like majority of the songs but snipe hunter the song pisses me off. The acoustic version on YouTube is so good and it’s ruined on this album. Can’t even hear him. It sounds terrible imo.

Eatin big time could be good. But the language is too much. Over the top and unnecessary.

And you’re right about down under. It’s legit awful.

One review said it perfectly. This is a food stamps album featuring Tyler Childers.

No sound and fury is a masterpiece.

The more I’m listening to it the more I’m enjoying it across the board

I want to like it and parts of it I do. Just feel like it’s all too overproduced. A lot of the songs, the vocals don’t match the music and noise. Way too much going on. Just seems off.

Gonna keep listening. Sure karts of it will grow on me

The production is all over the place.

This here, and I liked it a lot initially.

I definitely understand why some folks wouldn’t care for it, but it works for me.

Lyrically this album is 10/10. I went through them this morning after multiple listens. The production on some the songs is lacking or too much. Snipe Hunt takes the biggest hit. I have no clue what they were thinking with this one. It’s almost not listenable. 10/13 of the songs are top notch imo.

Down Under is his worst song ever, imo. It just seems like filler.

And I agree about it feeling disjointed. I actually like most of the songs. Some have grown on me but there really doesn’t seem to be any flow to the album.
