I guess... a little blues goes a long way for me... I don't listen to any variation of the genre much...

Howlin wolf, willie dixon, john lee hooker, rl burnside, muddy waters and srv just to name a few.

I find the ones who have the blues flowing from their entire being through their instrument to be exciting. Bonamassa is a great talent, but he reminds me of a classically trained violinist playing "Orange Blossom Special" from sheet music. He can play the blues, but he ain't got the blues...

I agree with this. Bonamossa always sounds like he's putting on a guitar clinic. Although I did hear something he did with a female piano player on Pandora that was more tasteful. I can't remember the name of that project though.
