I like both, but Cornell struggled a bit vocally with Audioslave. He was starting to lose it. His voice was much more powerful with Soundgarden.

Though they get shite on in present day, early Green Day had some success especially with Basket Case.

I haven't seen a lot of early 90's.

King of Wishful Thinking is one that is pure early 90's which could be mistaken for late 80's music

Here's a lesser known song I found on one of those BMG CDs they sent out to people in the 90's. I really liked it and always remembered it. It's about moving out of your parents house and finding shite harder than you thought. Lmao.
