heres maybe one of the toughest i ve ranked : Really not a RUSH album that i dont like but heres my current top 5 :
5.Caress of Steel
4.2112
3.Moving Pictures
2.Hemispheres
1.A Farewell To Kings

So, i rank the earlier releases in the top 5 . But, if i were to go #6 and #7 I would go with a couple of their later releases --their last release A Clockwork of Angels and one that really gets overlooked ,Vapor Trails

1) Moving Pictures
2) 2112
3) A Farewell to Kings
4) Presto
5) Permanent Waves

Presto has some of my favorite songwriting by Neil. I'd have Snakes & Arrows and Clockwork Angels just outside my top 5.

Vapor Trails is a very solid one. I don't agree that there are no bad ones - I'm not a fan of the sequence of Hold Your Fire, Presto, Roll the Bones. Counterparts was a very good return to form after those.

The entire sequence from 2112 to Moving Pictures is an amazing run of great work. Signals moved a different direction but it's really strong in its own right and the lyrics are great.

But these are the 5 I go back to the most, aside from the live recordings:

Moving Pictures
2112
A Farewell to Kings
Hemispheres
Counterparts

This is a tough one, because ranking whole albums means I have to leave out some of my favorites songs. I only replied to make sure Grace Under Pressure got its due.

1. Moving Pictures
2. Hemispheres
3. A Farewell to Kings
4. 2112
5. Grace Under Pressure

Listened to this one on the way to work. Tough to keep it out of my Rush top 5. Production work got them back to a fuller sound; one of their better sounding albums.
