the show was incredible
he had the place eating out his hand

I’m not going to argue with or disparage anyone who went thinking they were getting Mr tambourine man…it’s not that and hasn’t been for 40 years. It’s something new and different and amazing

And that motherfricker can play some piano

I’m not arguing with you, but I think your definition of “casual knowledge” may be a bit more advanced than most people. I’d argue that +95% of 20-30 year olds have never even heard of those two songs.

Fair, but they are definitely known entities in the Dylan catalogue as opposed to obscurities. Your relatives taste is subjective but I can tell you objectively the sweeping majority of the crowd was loving the show and Bob played with some verve based off the energy and vice versa.

I wasn’t familiar with several of the songs but that didn’t stop me from enjoying them. The Key West song from the newest album was mesmerizing.

He went in and out of several tempos and moods all night. And the accompanying music really gelled with him.

Did you see that drunk Broad get carried out of the front rows? It was a surprisingly raucous crowd versus my expectations but that speaks to how good the energy was.

fantastic show but the old drunk idiots behind me yapped the ENTIRE time. people have really forgotten how to act at concerts post-pandemic.

really enjoyed crossing the rubicon, gotta serve somebody, on the banks of the old ponchartrain (apparently the first time hes played it live), and every grain of sand.

I was wondering if it was just me. The audience was pretty bush league. A lot old people who couldn’t handle their liquor and way too much chatter, people filing in and out the whole time.

here's the setlist

all but one song from "rough & rowdy ways", the aforementioned live debut cover, and SEVEN songbook classics.

i'm not sure where the "he didnt play any of his ols songs" complaints are coming from. yes they were all re-arranged but i appreciated that. he's been doing that his entire career. and i have a whole new appreciation for the new album after hearing the songs live. they are as worthy of praise as are his older songs.

infuriating. i woke up this morning still wanting to fight orchestra left row DD seats 7-11. everytime bob took a beat between lines they had something to say and id get a waft of beer breath.

almost as bad as when i saw him in 2016 at the river center this old bitch behind me kept yelling "BOOBBB PLAY THE GUITARRRR WHERES YOUR GUITARRR"

Heard Dylan 20 years ago, maybe it was the night, but he mumbled through the show

Same. Saw him at jazz fest in 2006. One of the Most disappointing shows I’ve been to. Willie sounds better and puts on an insanely better show at 90 than Dylan did in his early 60s.

I was there and yes it was atrocious. The other night was the opposite. Indoor vs outdoor made a big difference.

I’ve seen him four times. Two times were great. So there you have it.
