I really love that song. I read that Petty was so bad off and deep into the thrones of depression when he wrote the song that after that tour was over for the CD that song was on, he refused to ever play it again because it was too personal for him and brought back to many difficult feelings. He said he wrote it about escapism and that's what it feels like when you listen to it.
