Saving Country Music has been in touch with local police trying to determine if there is any report that he was assaulted. Uncertain at this point. LINK

He seems to be a pathetic drug addict who never should have attempted to tour.

Unfortunately, the road does not go on forever and the party does eventually end.

He’s not dead but hospitalized with walking pneumonia.

He has narrowing of the spine issues, and as someone that deals with that in my neck, it can be very painful. I'm sure he is on pain killers, but not good for an addict. Still amazed they haven't even addressed the arrest. Just a strange situation all around, pray he gets the help he needs.

Per Rolling Stone:

Todd Snider, a singer, songwriter, and raconteur who helped shape the alt-country and Americana music movements, died Friday. He was 59. Rolling Stone confirmed Snider’s death. No cause of death was given, but Snider reportedly was diagnosed with pneumonia this week.

He was one of my favorite artists of all time. Great songwriter. He definitely had an issue with drugs, which having bad back problems probably nurtured the problem.

I saw him a few times live, and he always put on a good entertaining show. He was just a laid back hippy.

Glad I got to see him one last time this year. RIP Todd.

Anecdotally, a lot of "laid back hippies" I've known in real life have some pretty complicated personalities that can change and go dark quickly when they're not doing that one passion project kind of thing, or telling stories about their adventures. Especially as they get older and the drugs take a toll.

Once upon a time in Hollywood, this hippy named Chuck and his crew of hippy scum did some foul shite.
