Very underrated in my opinion. The first time I heard him was on XM and heard Tonight/You Shook Me All Night Long. It was the perfect song for someone who grew up in a small town in Texas.
ETA: I lived in a town in east Texas less than 2000 people, so I could relate.

Loving county is one of my favorites and the live version is so damn good. He is a good story teller

I haven't cared for much of the stuff he has put out recently, but I wore of the Life of the Party album back in the 90s and would go see him play at little places around town.

I like Charlie Robison's music a lot. Wish he was still able to tour.

He did. Some sort of vocal surgery went awry and he retired. I'm a big fan of Charlie's music. From Life of the Party to Beautiful Day he put out some quality tunes. Plus he was fantastic live. Hate he had to hang it up.

Only to people who only know the cover by whoever tried to cover it.
It's probably in my top 3 favorite CR songs with Loving Country and Good Times.
