i think its fascinating to think back on that one song you remember from your early childhood that not only transports you back to that particular time and place, it also likely had a profound influence on your musical tastes throughout the rest of your life
in my case, my love of power pop and high tenor harmonies can be traced back to hearing this song on my dad’s AM car radio driving through the high country of NC on a brilliant fall Saturday almost six decades ago:
