The Sheepdogs -- Canadian Southern Rock

The Sheepdogs are a Southern Rock band from Canada...really interesting. They won a contest to get on the cover of Rolling Stone last year. Saw them at Voodoo, and they were really good. Anyone else heard them? If not, take a listen. It's good stuff. Here's a few.

They did a couple of songs at a Rolling Stones tribut show I went to. They were great.
Back up singers for various bands were Nicole Atkins and Norah Jones, not bad back ups.

I've been tirelessy promoting this band on this site from the second I heard about them when they were up against Lela Broussard from Lafayette for the Rolling Stones cover competion. They fricking jam and they are the best new music I've heard put out in years. Very excited for their first full album, which is being produced by patrick Carney (drummer for The Black Keys)

somebody on TD (probably one of you in this thread) introduced me to them on the OT. Since then I've been addicted. Really love these guys... just pure rock and roll
