I know this song is technically about Jesus but good grief this is a horrible lyric. Worst, overplayed Christmas song, IMO

It’s been changed in newer versions so kids don’t have to say arse.
Christ Is Born Today still has “ox and arse before him bow” in it.

Why vocalize ba rum ba bum bum...when playing actual drums might be more authentic.
Even the inspiration of the song sucks. Kid is too poor to buy a gift for a baby trying to sleep, and the dumbass think to himself that what the baby and his mom need more than anything is...a drum solo.
