I kinda regret selling my '82 30th Anniversary Les Paul (it was actually a '57 goldtop reissue) back in the late 1990s but my '76 LP Standard kicks plenty of good arse in the goldtop's absence.

I kinda regret selling my 1991 Tom Anderson Droptop around the same time. It was "Bora Bora blue" over quilt maple with gold hardware and factory Kahler Steeler. But the Floyded bolt-ons I fabricate are just as good, so no big deal really.

I've sold three nice Jackson Rhoads guitars over the years, and I'd like to see one land in my stable for keeps. I've had three USAs so far, they are my favorite exotic shaped electrics without question.

We would love it if you post some photos, if possible.
I always love to see your guitars, even if it does make me jealous sometimes.

Exactly. I have gotten a lot of use out of them over the years though.

Then maybe you would be kind enough to share some of you recordings. I can't think of a better place to do that.

I’ve shared the one song I have on SoundCloud before. It was just recorded on my iPad though.

Most of the stuff I recorded with those monitors are pro tools sessions on my ole IMac and unfortunately, it’s so old I can’t get on the internet to upload the files.

I think the song I shared before was in the “does anyone write music” thread from awhile ago. I’ll try to find it.

Oh, I remember sorta, I think your air conditioner was singing louder than you were. I liked what I heard though.

Found it. Haha, yeah, the noisefloor is pretty high, but once I get going it’s alright

That's damn good. Need a better recording and give us more.
Pretty soulful once you got into the groove.
I would love to work with somebody that has a voice like you have and your sense of rhythm. It's there, I can tell. A little working on individual string picking would do wonders for you.
That song will melt panties.

I had on old 70's Gibson Kalamazoo guitar that I truly wished I still had.

It looked exactly like this one...

That's cool looking, I guess that slider switch put everything out of phase? I'm only asking, because I've never seen one like that before.
That's a cool looking blanket too.

Reminds me of a Willie Nelson story, I hope you were able to save your weed, like he did.

I lost everything in my studio. There was a Les Paul, another Tele and a Taylor 410 along with a 1965 Super Reverb, a Marshall JCM-30 plus a bunch of vintage pedals and every song I ever wrote up to that day. Bass rig, drums, recording gear, everything burned. Yes, the weed went up, too.

That's awful.

My first guitar, a Cedar top Takamine. Traded it for an Ibanez artwood because it had a pickup, and i have regretted it since that day.Never let your first guitar go.

Preciate it. In a multitrack setting I would definitely layer some string picking/fingerpicking.

I have a lot of the stuff on my old iMac folded down into stereo mixes on its iTunes, but I just need to figure out how the hell to get those and the pro tools sessions uploaded to something else.

But yeah, I have a ton of stuff I just need to sit down and record. I’m such a perfectionist that recording on pro tools has become such a daunting chore, simply because I agonize over ever single thing. Then once it’s down it’s even worse with effects and mixing. Spending 36 hours on a verse/chorus was fun in my single days, but it’s a bit different now with a wifey.

It’s almost easier for me to simply hit record on the iPad and just play. But, at the same time, the sound quality drives me nuts.

Man, get a Tascam DP08.
I's so easy to use, it's 8 tracks, digital, and you can mix down to anything.
They're only like 200 bucks now, brand new.

I hear you, but I would still have the same issues. I know some people from working in studios, so I really just need to get in the there and let them worry about the recording and mixing. That way I can just concentrate on the performance.

Then do it. I'm telling you, you need to. I like the way you sound. Don't waste time. Don't look back later and say I shouldaWouldacoulda.
I'm not trying to be bossy, I just don't want to see you waste time. It may not work out, but at least you die trying.
I'm listening to it again. Your voice is like a cool mix between Hal Ketchum and Leroy Parnell.
That's missing these days.
