Yeah, saw an event was created on Facebook after another poster mentioned it. Sounds like it should be better this year.

I had originally planned on going to this, however now I will be attending wherever there will be Phish sit-ins. Anders would be amazing but pretty unlikely IMO. I feel he is a little too hard-edged for anyone in Phish. Maybe so Maybe not.

That's going to be a long weekend beginning Friday night. I'm gonna crash hard Sunday evening.

One of my favorite shows of the year is the Wed between Jazz Fest weekends. Ivan Nevile, June Yamagishi, George Porter Jr, and Johnny Vidacovich at the Maple Leaf.

Just have to stay on the move. I'll be dropping my dog off at my parents place for the weekend because I don't plan on being home much.

Honestly, I don't see anything right now. No one they have prior connections to have announced late nights shows the first weekend yet. I am positive some will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Obviously Page has the connection to George Porter Jr and Leo Nocentelli, who both will have shows (either separately or together). Ivan has also played with Trey, Mike, and Page but I don't see any of them sitting in for a PFunk tribute

Oh yeah, I forgot about the M&M show. For some reason it isn't listed on the grids.

I want to say that Trey and Fishman played at Tipitina's after 4.26.96 Jazz Fest, but I can't find any info on it online.

What I can find is that Trey and Page sat in for the entirety of Michael Ray's show at Jimmy's Uptown two days later.

Michael Ray and The Cosmic Krewe, Sunday, 04/28/1996
Jimmy's, New Orleans, LA

Set 1: Champions[1], Neverness[1], Saturn[1], Astro Nation (Of the United World in Outer Space)[1], Beans and Rice[1], Dancing Shadows[1], Pathology[1], Earthrite[1]

[1] Trey on guitar, Page on keyboards, and RJ Spangler on percussion.

eta: Check out this heady jam from that show
