The Eagles suck and Clapton is supremely overrated with very little soul. I wouldn't waste my time even if given free tickets.

Gary Clark, Jr. would push it over the top for me. That guy is damn good live.

Saw him open for/play with Foo Fighters in Memphis a few years ago. I wholeheartedly concur with your assessment.

Definitely worth seeing live.

didn't even check to see who if anyone was with Clapton. Jimmie Vaughan and Gary Clark. My husband plays guitar and loves blues etc so Vaughan may actually be something he'd enjoy

Go see this. Gary Clark is a beast. I’d travel just to see him.

Saw the eagles last sat night, they were awesome. Seen Clapton twice, you should try and make both

Eagles yes. Clapton emphatic no. I've seen both recently. The Eagles put on a great show. Clapton's never liked performing live so his shows are pretty boring.

15 years ago, yes. Today, no. Clapton is slipping and looks annoyed to even be on stage. The eagles aside from the Hell Freezes Over tour have not been all that much and with Felder fired and Frey dead, it's just Joe Walsh filling in and Henley 's self aggrandizement

Truth hurts, but The Eagles just are not good anymore. Walsh might be the only reason to see them, but Henley thinks too much of himself and he's just not all that good anymore.

I saw them two weeks ago. You are completely full of shite. Don's voice has finally started to show age, but it's still pretty damn good. He no longer sings his solo stuff, presumably to save his voice, but his leads and harmony are still better than most.

Joe Walsh is incredible, no doubt.

The band sounds great. The addition of Vince Gill only makes it more fun. I was hesitant to see them without Frey but it was still a great show.

And BTW I've seen them four times and Henley has never come across as full of himself, in interviews sure but never in concert. He usually has a funny line or two, but doesn't really talk that much. And if I was one of the greatest pop/rock singers ever, my head would be huge.

I was fortunate to see the Eagles last concert with Glenn Frey. It was the last play date of that tour and it was played right here in Shreveport. I’m not sure I’d go see the Eagles without Frey if they played here again.

I've never seen Clapton, so I do not have an opinion. I've been to 4 Eagles shows, if you like their music they are absolutely worth seeing. They are great musicians, even without Frey. Don't listen to all the haters.
