I'll keep voting for the best band left...but this is truly not southern rock flavor if the Skynyrd gets voted off before the two top bands.

I said that facetiously. I enjoy the three left more. The Band is one of my all time favorite groups, CCR is probably the greatest American rock band of all-time, and ABB has a dedicated group of followers along with some kick-arse songs/jams.

Perhaps I should have stressed at their peak versus any sort of weight that longevity might have on a discussion.

Of course, we could probably go into a lengthy arguments on the pros and cons of CCR along with those of any number of other great American rock bands. Ending with no one's opinion changed because music is, of course, subjective.

I like Credence, but I don't think they would be in my top 30 American bands.
