Saw them last night here in The Woodlands.......fantastic show! The way they incorporate all of the members of the band into the show is top notch. Worth every penny

Was there as well. Wife usually doesn't care for music I listen to and even she admitted it was really good. Also incredible to see Buddy Guy play the way he does at nearly 90 years old.

TTB is amazing until you’ve seen Derek play without Susan. Then it’s like unironically listening to Dead & Co.

I have all of her early solo works before she joined forces with Derek. Like others, I really appreciate them keeping their bands together.
Still think of Kofi, miss seeing him and I also was thankful I got to see them play with Jimmie Vaughan. Never know when the time will come when they aren’t around or able to play anymore.

Susan is a sell out and a coat rider. Derek can play but Yoko Tedeschi has ruined him.

That’s an odd way to say you never heard her sing.

I have known Derek since he was 15 and he used to sleep on my couch. I have seen her sing well over 100 times. Guess again.

Maybe it’s just me but her singing and his guitar work is what makes TTB so good.

It’s not like they “sold out” and make pop hits, seems to me they are playing the music their fans like.

Best I can tell the only thing that is sold out is the Cherokee Center where I will go see them tonight,

I am glad that you like them. They are a good band. Susan can sing. But she has tried for years to make them mainstream (facts) and takes solos from someone who is one of the best guitar players on the planet. And if you dig just a bit you can see her fingerprints on way too many firings and changes within the band/team to count. All in an effort to get her on the radio.

Ok. The show last night was spectacular. Quite the ensemble but I now see that the band would also be great without the 3 horns and 3 backup singers. Those six did take away from Derek virtuosity but he was still the star of the show.

Yes, personally I wish they had more of a “Allman Brothers” and less “Earth Wind and Fire” feel, but it is what it is and I can appreciate all of it.

By that I mean the funky horns and harmony’s, not something normally found in a southern rock jam band. They were fantastic last night but one can never have too much Derek Trucks.

Man, I felt the whole group was awesome. Letting some of the "backup" singers take leads and they killed it. I admit at the show I saw, the saxophone guy went off on a weird little improvised jazz tangent a couple times that I could have done without. But otherwise, thought it was great.

I'm sure I'd enjoy Derek Trucks just soloing up there for 2 hours as well, but for well-rounded music, I can't deny what they did was great.

Bumped this thread to say I just saw them Saturday night in Charlotte and I thought they were great. She has a pretty good voice and of course his guitar skills are excellent. And like someone said earlier in the thread she can play a guitar pretty well herself.

I also want to give a shout out to Little Feat, those guys flat out jammed out, I was pretty impressed. All and all a fun night for me and the Mrs
