He must go out of his way to be this strange. I know he’s always said he’s making 5 albums and then fading away. Never thought album 4 would be a soundtrack to a Netflix animated series, but he hasn’t disappointed yet.

Wasn't he stationed in Japan for a lot of his tenure in the navy, makes since he'd be into anime
he showed up at the Opry a few months ago, and did an all bluegrass set but it was mostly covers.. so I doubt it was any kind of preview for what's coming

He's making a animated film for the album. Not the other way around. Its going to be like 10 different music videos together making a coherent story.

Music didn't seem like Sturgill. Maybe that was more of a visual trailer? Shiii I don't know. Still interested. I just can't picture him singing to that music haha.

He said the album was going to be pure rock-n-roll. I would not expect much country in this new album.
