Maybe other people have different criteria than you

Some people prize rock and roll feeling more than empty technical virtuosity

One reason newer bands don't get mentioned is rock is now a minority interest -- and actual R&R is pretty much little more than a cult.

In olden days you could turn on your radio and get blasted by great new R&R. Today you have to search for what's out there.
