What is James Iha up to?

I always thought he was the heart and soul of that band.

I beg to differ. He was the creative driver, and leader...but Iha's guitar work, especially on the 2nd disc of MCATIS made that band unique.

I saw tinted windows at sxsw 3 years ago (involuntarily). I wanted to have a sign that read "WHY JAMES!? WHY?!" it was the worst show I have ever been to. Couldn't believe it was the same person in APC and SP.

James Iha wasn't even a great guitar player and not even close to the skill level as Billy Corgan. James and D'arcy were more about image than actual talent.

99% of every guitar and bass part you've ever heard was Billy Corgan. He's a control freak.

ehhh...I don't think he played that much on any of the records. I know he (Corgan) pretty much did everything when he was working w/ Butch Vig.

Let me go ahead and confirm that. Corgan played everything with Butch Vig.

And I had such the crush on her as a youngin'.

Anyway, yeah, James and D'Arcy didn't have much (or anything) to do with the early SP albums. Mellon Collie is a different story, but I'm not sure they weren't more than session musicians most of the time (although Iha does have a couple of tracks on the album).
