Some of you may remember my thread a few weeks ago about purchasing a solid wood Martin D16 RGT for $850 basically just because it was a good deal.

So as soon as I got it, I posted it on Facebook Marketplace for sale or trade and while browsing yesterday, I happened upon an 2002 HD-28 and threw out a feeler about a trade.

To my surprise, the guy agreed to a trade + $500 on my end so I now have an HD-28 for $1350 basically which to me seems like a steal since they seem to be selling around $2400ish or so.

Sorry the pics aren't great, currently on a Christmas trip with family.

Great instrument, but I can’t stand playing a guitar without a cutaway.

Not sure if I'll keep it long term or attempt to trade more.

My Eastman is very similar to this Martin and I've always wanted a Gibson J45.

I've got a sickness.

nope

Just sounds like you're ears are more interested in a Jumbo, Slope Shouldered, Mahogany than a Squared Shouldered, Rosewood, Dread.

Maybe you should go for broke with both?

I like this one, it doesn't really do anything my Eastman E8D doesnt do though and the Martin is much more valuable in a trade.

Will it around awhile to further assess.

Nice deal, actually hell of a deal. HD-28 is a heck of guitar.

One question, after scoring that guitar deal, looking at that wad of bed sheets , did some other type of scoring go on?

Don't let it spill over like mine did. To drumkits, basses, amp heads and cabs..software,hardware...If you can keep it to just guitars, then you've got a hold on it.

So far I've been lucky

My dream is to own a guitar store with wooden floors

If you are serious, check out Gbase.com and you can go to UMGF.com (unofficial martin guitar forum) and post it for sell in the "buy and sell".

Great score. Despite my leaning towards cutaways, HD-28s are among my favorite acoustics of all time. Love the warmth and tonal balance.

I guess you just hate playing high notes or bar chords above the 7th fret

Autographed guitars usually seem pretty hard to sell. I'd probably try Reverb too. Also list locally on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.

What model Martin is it?
