So how many of you Louisiana guys over 40...

Own a copy of the Randy Newman album "Good Old Boys"? Just stumbled across it in my collection and put it on. With the exception of "Birmingham", every song gives images of Louisiana. One of my favorite albums.

Found out about it as a freshman at LSU in '76. Immediately bought a copy and have had one ever since. Own all his other records too.

Went to lunch with the pastor of our church one time, who grew up in Louisiana. Started talking people defending their own and to my surprise he started singing the song "Rednecks".

I have the Cd, but I just found this in my dad's vinyl collection.
And Louisiana 1927 is a great, great song. Especially after Katrina.

I'm way over 40, sorry though, Newman was never a favorite of mine.....
